Satyam Computer has delayed the joining date of graduates it has recruited from college campuses by months–the latest sign that India’s fourth largest software exporter is trying to cut operational expenses amid a slowdown in its largest market, the United States.
This is only the demo version of what has happened, what is happening and what is about to happen near in future.IGATE delayed joining of thier 2008 batch by may2009,to be INFOSIANS (2008)have still no clue about their joining date,NIIT Tech. delayed their joining by jan 2009,MPHASIS(on of the fastest growing IT CO. in INDIA)is also in this fray,WIPRO hasn’t confirmed the joining date of it’s latest recruitment and now SATYAM.
It may be too early but dare not to say that this situation is somewhat (I must say don’t panic ,this is just a crap came in my mind) like IT meltdown which almost quaked all world
Look what happened in oue college–meetings after meetings, discussions after discussions, students are willing to take any action (violent-non violent )regarding placement, and that too in these U.S. based companies (and to be my surprize some of the students still unaware of present international scenario )and there is what to do and where to go situation every where .
AND I think real question is that if you got a placement during college, after how much time you got your first salary??????????????????:(
